BALD MAN – “Hellbilly Hollow-Ween” Tour
Michael Devin, Steve Ferlazzo, Nick Maybury, Brian Tichy & Brent Woods
Host: Eddie Trunk
Decades Bar– Anaheim, CA – 11/7/20
BALD MAN and band finished up their “Hellbilly Hollow-Ween” tour at Decades Bar in Anaheim, CA. Who exactly is Bald Man, you ask? Well, you may know him as the dude at the Gas Station in the latest “Halloween” reboot who gets his teeth removed in a rather inconvenient way. Or you may know him as an emerging Rock Artist who has one album, “Music For The Rest Of Us” under his belt, with another being co-written with Bon Jovi guitarist, Phil X, on the way. Or as some at Decades Bar would testify to, they had no clue, but it didn’t matter….they wanted to go see some live music.
Bald Man actually is Kurt Deimer, a businessman and entrepreneur from Cincinnati, OH who has put together a top notch batch of musicians to take out on the road to promote his music, his movie, “Hellbilly Hollow” (that is screened at the end of each show) and to make some money for people in need, in this case St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
As mentioned, the band (and crew… shout out to Nate Dawson and Mike Perkinpine) that Bald Man is working with are big names in the rock music world and they allow him to put on one hell of a legitimate rock show. He even enlisted Rock DJ/Personality Eddie Trunk to host some of the shows on the tour, including this evening.
The Band are:
Michael Devin – Bass (Whitesnake)
Steve Ferlazzo – Musical Director and Keyboards (Avril Lavigne)
Nick Maybury – Guitar (Perry Farrell)
Brian Tichy – Drums (Whitesnake, The Dead Daisies)
Brent Woods – Guitar (Sebastian Bach)
The music is actually pretty killer. All Rock with big guitars and sound and a show worthy of a stage bigger than this little place. The whole band had a chance to shine with solos and the setlist was all originals except for the closer, Black Sabbath’s “Hole In The Sky“.
The “Hellbilly Hollow-Ween” tour was deemed a “Covid 19-Safe” tour, so the place was at half capacity with patrons expected to wear masks whenever they walked around the place. (Some people just aren’t great at putting that mask over the nose…)
After the show Eddie Trunk and Bald Man went to the Merch booth to talk to the fans while his Horror Movie, “Hellbilly Hollow“, played on all the screens in the bar.
The bottom line is, this was a great, fun evening out. Some Killer music performed by an amazing band and for a great cause.
