PNC Bank Arts Center – Holmdel, NJ – 7/31/19

Diamante opened up for a power packed night of rock and roll at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ on July 31, 2019. She was the lead off act for Dorothy, Three Days Grace, Chevelle and Breaking Benjamin. Diamante is no stranger to hitting the stage with bands of this magnitude, and she proved in her 30 minute set that she was right where she belonged.
Diamante hit the stage at 5:30 PM which is a rough time slot on a Wednesday evening. The crowd at the time was pretty light but filling in throughout her set. She belted out six songs like the venue had 20,000 fans packed in. A few highlights were, “Haunted”, a solo performance of “Hear Me Now” which was originally performed with Bad Wolves and her new single, “When I’m Not Around” that is set to be released on Friday, August 2nd. These songs highlighted her strengths and vocal growth. “Haunted”, was high energy, and had her signature sound. “Hear Me Now” which had a bit of a different flair than the original, was a perfect showcase of vocals on a ballad. Now I suggest everyone tighten their seatbelts when you hear “When I’m Not Around”. This song was written by Diane Warren and will blow your socks off. It’s a heavier track than Diamante’s previous releases, but it’s also a little bluesy. Her vocals were super powerful during this performance and she commanded the stage from one end to the other like there was no stopping her. Diamante was backed by a 4-piece band that was super tight and interesting to watch.
Diamante has been around for a few years, and the door is opening wider and wider for her. She is young, spunky, passionate, and talented. If this tour, or a solo show rolls through your area check her out. If you are planning on attending this current tour make sure you arrive early to support the early bands, in part their ultimate success depends on the fans. Thank you Diamante for a great evening and I look forward to following your career for years to come.
