Dark Chapel’s concert at Count’s Vamp’d in Las Vegas on March 1, 2025 was a showcase for the recently released CD by the band.  The band, fronted by Dario Lorina (guitarist and vocalist, known for his work with Black Label Society), delivered a powerful set that had the band performing their debut album, Spirit in the Glass. The lineup also includes Dylan Dice on guitar, Mike Gunn on bass, and Luis Silva on drums.

The show opened with “Afterglow,” a high-energy track that set the tone for the evening with its fast-paced riffs and dynamic solos. The dual guitar work between Lorina and Dice was a highlight, blending harmonies and contrasting riffs that added depth to the performance. Tracks like “Hollow Smile” and “Corpse Flower” brought a mix of thrashy rhythms and gothic undertones, captivating the audience with their emotional strength.

Halfway through the set, Lorina came front and center with only a single keyboard to perform a chilling version of the track “Dead Weight”.

Mike Gunn’s bass lines provided a solid foundation, complementing the intricate guitar work, while Luis Silva’s drumming added both power and precision to the performance. Gunn and Lorina also provided some magnificent vocal harmonies during the set.

Ending the night, the band shined through on an updated bluesy rendition of the classic “Ain’t No Sunshine”.

The event also featured comedian Don Jamieson, adding a unique twist to the evening.  Don treated the audience to a laugh filled set. His appearance showcased his ability to blend comedy with his deep love for rock and metal music, making him a favorite among fans of the genre.

The intimate setting of one of Las Vegas’ premier venues, Count’s Vamp’d allowed fans to connect closely with the band, enhancing the overall atmosphere of the show.
